Well to start off with I should explain how I came about useing the word "Shinobi" as a handle and nickname. My friend Pat and I use to take Ninjitsu. Shinobi is another word for "Ninja". So in a jokeing manner he would call me Shinobi. Well not that the name really stuck, but when I went on to the board Bluelight I needed a handle. For quite some time I have used the "IRGODOFNET" as a handle for video games and such. I decided I needed something different as that handle is somewhat arrogant. I have a whole other story on that, but thats for later. So I thought to myself, self why not Shinobi. Hince the name was born and I known by it now by many people.

Well I have been going to parties for about 8 or so months now. My best friend Josh from Houston got me into the scene. He has been going to parties and dancing for a couple years atleast. To him I owe everything that I have attained since meeting him.
Personally I go to parties for the music. A lot of people use that as there call to arms but have other motives. I attend these events with the notion of dancing all night and being with good friends. The social aspect is another reason why I go. To meet new people and make new party friends makes these events desireable.
I feel that today's scene has to many people going for the drugs. To deal them or use them either way raves weren't designed for it. Sure it does play a major part in it, but should not be the sole reason. Today, raves are sterotyped as "drug havens". That people are drugged out of there mind etc. We all know this isn't true, but in some part, parties can live up to this sterotype.
I try to do my part to make the scene better. I am on the UBB BlueLight. There I educate people about MDMA and other related topics. I belive in education over ignorance. If you are going to put something in your body, you should know what you eat. We look at the nutrient label for a box of ceral we eat knowing its healthy for us either way. We should do the same when conidering something thats not suppose to be in our body.
I believe that Dancing is ones own personal expression. I don't believe people should try to perform cookie cutter moves so they look "cool" at a party. Though there is nothing wrong with wanting to pick up on a style of dancing. Whichever style, be it Liquid, Popping, Breaking, or House dancing you should put your own spin on it. Make it yours and yours alone. The way you dance is similar to your signature or thumb print. It's personal to you alone and IMHO shouldn't be copycated. Granted when you see a move and you like it your gonna steal it. Though try again to add on to it so its an idea you borrowed for something new, something you created. This all is my personal opinion which can and has been disputed.
I have a website on Dancing. This site is to provide exercises and those alone for dancing. Not by ANY means am I trying to tell people how they should dance. I think the best way, as I learned is by dancing with others. Though many people don't have friends who can teach them or is intersted in dancing enough to practice a style or even at home. So I provide a little helping hand for those people. I don't think you should learn how to dance via a website. Though getting help on how to get started can be tough and so I built the site for that reason.
