Shinobi's Rave Dancing Dojo




This site is meant for the styles of Dancing primarly scene at Raves. I stress that you do not take this information out of context. By NO MEANS am I trying to tell anyone how to dance. Also, the internet is not a place to learn how to dance as well. You should go out, and do it.

The purpose of this site is mainly to provide some basic instruction. I am not explaining how the styles are performed, rather giving INSTRUCTIONS on EXERCISES. These exercises can be put to use on how to teach rythem. Please do not come away with these excercises thinking your doing " liquid ", cause your following what I have written.

I stress for no one to limit themselves in regards to dancing. There is no " correct " way to dance. Do what you feel is right, and do what you enjoy. No one is ever going to walk up and say your a bad dancer. So don't go into dancing thinking you need to look cool, or dance well to be cool. Be yourself, and your dancing will emulate that constantly. I've told people that in my opinion, that dancing is like a thumb print. Sure it looks similar at times to others, but is unique to you and you alone.

Lastly to explain why I call this " Rave Dancing ". Primarly because the styles are scene at partys. Secondly because I know by placing the word Rave into my site people searching for Rave related information will come across my page. The people that are looking up Rave related information, is my target auidence. I know it seems some what lame, but oh well.

There are three dance styles that make up Rave Dancing 

Liquid:
Liquid is the style that primarly uses the hands and the arms.  When in 
advanced stages of dancing, the footwork is brought in to complete the
package.

House:
House or the The Running man is the other style of Rave Dancing.  
This style when viewed, appears as if the dancer is walking or running in place.  
This does not mean though that no movment is done across the dance floor.  Actually quite
the opposite is true.  At advanced levels, when two dancers dance together it is refered 
to as battleing.  This is when two dancers face off.

GlowSticks:
GlowSticks are a very popular thing to use while dancing.  Thanks
to a viewer we have a section for this.  This explanation goes over the "figure eight".
